Louet is famous for their carefully engineered spinning wheels, and they have been a complete hit in the spinning world for many years. We are proud to carry not only their wheels, but also their fantastic fibres, dyes and other products.
Almost all wheels from the Dealers we carry require some assembly, in order to reduce shipping costs. Clear instructions are provided and in most cases it should take no more than an hour or two, using either tools provided and/or common household screwdrivers and such. It’s WAY easier than Ikea!

Louet Art Yarn Flyer – Irish Tension
The Art Yarn Flyer was launched in 2013. It has a huge 7/8-inch orifice. This will fit on Louet Irish Tension wheels including the S10, S15, S17, S51, S70, S71.S75,S76, & S77 wheels. The Bulky Bobbin is recommended to work with this flyer. The bobbin is not included, this is the flyer only.

Louet Bobbin Bearing – 6mm Standard
Black plastic round bearing for all Louet Irish Tension wheel bobbins, 6mm hole. If it seems loose, use glue to seal in place. Not for Victoria/Julia bobbins.

Louet Bulky Bobbin – Irish Tension
Price per bobbin. For Louet IRISH TENSION wheels.
The bulky bobbin was designed to hold bulky yarns. If your intentions are to spin novelty yarns on a regular basis, this is the bobbin for you. The bobbin will hold 250-400 gr of yarn and its ratios are 6.2:1, 5:1, and 4.2:1. To use the bulky bobbin, you will need the wide flyer as well. The Bulky bobbin is clear lacquered and will fit on all current and discontinued Louet Irish Tension wheels EXCEPT: S40, S45, Victoria, S87, S90.

Louet Drive Belt – Standard
Flexible black polyurethane drive belt. This belt fits most Louet wheels except the S90, S40, S45 and Victoria S95/96. There is a separate drive belt for each of these wheels. Louet part number SR0115. Diameter is 163cm.

Louet Footman Connector – Standard
Black plastic round part that connects the top of the footman to the wheel axle. Standard on all Louet Irish tension wheels, possibly on the rest as well.

Louet Footman to Treadle Connector – Standard
Louet Part # SR0112
The Footman to treadle connector attaches the treadle to the footman. It is a part that is commonly needing to be replaced on Louet wheels. This fits all S10, S15, S17, S51, S70, S71, S75, S76, S77, S20 and S60 wheels. The S90 takes a slightly different connector as does the Victoria

Louet High Speed Bobbin – Irish Tension
Price per bobbin.
This high speed bobbin is clear lacquered to match the finish of the S10, S10DT and S51, S51DT. This bobbin has been carefully crafted to make spinning at high speeds a breeze. The bobbin has a sheave with three settings on one end to obtain three different spinning speeds. The ratios are: 6.5:1, 9.5:1 and 15:1. The high speed bobbin is meant to be used with the Louet High-Speed Flyer, and will fit on all current and discontinued Louet Irish Tension wheels EXCEPT: S40, S45, Victoria, S87, S90. Louet's entry-level wheel, a good choice as a first wheel for the aspiring new spinner on a limited budget. The achieve cost savings, the main construction material is laminated birch. Smooth ball bearing operation like all Louet wheels, easy treadling and a well balanced spin that won't disappoint. Irish Tension.
Effective Fall of 2010 the S17 is in a new version. It is no longer a kit, but partially assembled. Like with other Louet wheels, the final assembling is quick and easy. The unfinished wood is sanded and the edges are rounded. It only needs a finishing with lacquer, stain or wax.
