Louet High Speed Flyer – Irish Tension

Louet Sliding Flyer Hook – Standard
These are replacement sliding hooks for the Victoria or Julia flyers as well as the regular flyers for most other wheels.

Flick Card, Louet
Made of solid tulipwood, with a shaped handle to fit the hand. Nice firm stainless steel teeth on the carding cloth, the head measures 2" by 4". The head goes longways instead of crossways, which some people prefer.
A flick carder (or "flicker") is used to open up locks of fleece before drum carding or spinning. Many spinners sit and do this on their lap, with a protective cloth of sturdy denim or leather. We prefer doing it on a high table on top of a piece of old vinyl flooring.

These Louet Hand Cards are made of tulip wood, a Dutch poplar variety. They are light weighted and have ergonomical handles which fit comfortably in your hands. They are well-balanced with curved paddles 7.52" X 4".
Csrding cloth is 110 teeth /sq. inch (PPSI). These carders are suitable for fine fibres such as fine Merino, Alpaca or cotton. What Louet calls "extra-fine" is comparable to the fine hand cards from Ashford and other brands.
