Gord Lendrum has been building these very popular wheels since 1976, from his workshop in Odessa, Ontario. Spinners all over Canada and the US adore their Lendrum wheels! We’ve just become Dealers for these as of August, 2019. Gord does not regularly take on new Dealers so we are grateful to finally be able to offer these to spinners.
Lendrum started with a Single Treadle wheel and over the years began production of the more popular Double Treadle style. There is also a Saxony style wheel he produces from time-to-time.
These wheels are simple to use, with a Scotch Tension system. Accessories are available for spinning pretty much any style of yarn or type of fibre a spinner would ever want to spin.

Lendrum Bobbin – High Speed
A smaller fatcore bobbin, for use with the Lendrum Fast Flyer or Very Fast Flyer setup. An ideal size for spinning lace-weight yarns. The fat core helps to even out the spinning tension from start to finish.

Lendrum Bobbin – Plying
A larger bobbin for use with the Lendrum Plying Flyer. This should easily hold two full bobbins of singles when plied together. Also useful for spinning bulkier singles or for various art yarn techniques. This bobbin WILL NOT FIT on the regular flyer.

White plastic bushing, which goes in each end of the Regular Lendrum Bobbins. Probably best to be glued into place.

The double-treadle action provides for smooth spinning and comfortable posture. A wide range of ratios will allow you to spin most kinds of fibres easily, in a full range of yarn weights. The three speeds available on the Regular Flyer provide ratios of 6:1, 8:1, 10:1
This wheel includes:
- Tensioned Lazy Kate
- Four Regular bobbins
- Threading Hook
- Plying Head with Plying Bobbin and Plying Drive Band. A larger "jumbo" setup for plying two bobbins of singles, or for spinning thicker yarns and art yarns. Ratios are 5:1, 7:1, 9:1
- Fast Flyer, especially great for shorter fibres or for spinning lace-weight yarns. Ratios are 12:1, 15:1, 17:1. This flyer is intended to be used with the Regular Bobbins. Optional High-speed fat-core bobbins are available as an accessory, if you wish to order them separately.

This drive band is specifically for the Lendrum Plying Head setup. It is larger in diameter than the Regular drive band. Clear polycord.

Lendrum Fast Flyer
A fast flyer for spinning shorter fibres, or for lace spinning. Not as fast as the Very Fast Head, but still plenty fast. The Regular Bobbins fit this, as well as the High-Speed Bobbins. 3-speed whorl. Ratios: 12:1, 15:1, 17:1.

The rubbery connector that goes between the treadle and footman on Lendrum SINGLE TREADLE Wheels. Includes a screw and plastic cap thingy.

Lendrum Footman Connector Set – Double Treadle
A set of two rubbery connectors that go between the treadle and footman on Lendrum DOUBLE TREADLE Wheels.

Lendrum Footman Upgrade Kit
This upgrade kit is only for older Lendrum Single Treadle wheels with a cable connecting the treadle to the drive wheel. Newer wheels do not requite this conversion.
Includes a wooden footman, a gizmo that attaches to the treadle with a rubbery footman connector in between. Basic instructions are provided.

Lendrum Plying Head
For the single or double-treadle Lendrum folding wheels. Does not fit on the Saxony.
With larger bobbins than the Regular Head, these are designed for plying together two full Regular Bobbins worth of yarn. Comes with one Plying Bobbin, Plying Drive Band, wider Plying Flyer. Orifice diameter is 7/8-inch, suitable for thicker yarns/art yarns.
Lacquered maple finish. Ratios possible are 5:1, 7:1, 9:1

Lendrum Quill Head
For the single or double-treadle Lendrum folding wheels. Does not fit on the Saxony.
The long 9-inch steel quill allows for you to spin off the tip, especially useful for spinning cotton and other short fibres that require high twist.
Lacquered maple finish. Ratios possible are 6:1, 25:1, 37:1

Lendrum Regular Flyer
This is the all-purpose regular flyer that comes standard with any of the Lendrum folding wheels. Holds the regular bobbins but is too narrow for the larger plying bobbins. Bobbin not included. 3-speed whorl. Ratios: 6:1, 8:1, 10:1.

Lendrum's Saxony Wheel is customized to your specifications. It is a double-treadle wheel in the traditional style. We don't have a photo but a quick Google search will turn up several images for you to view. This wheel features a large 28-inch diameter drive wheel.
What you need to select:
- WOOD: choose from (real) cherry or maple, Walnut is also available but has its own product listing. Please note: the wood is unfinished so that you can finish it in exactly the way that you want.
- DRIVE: choose either double-drive or single-drive (Scotch tension). Double drive includes a tension knob in case you want to convert your wheel to single drive.
- FLYER: choose to have your flyer on the left or on the right. Gord suggests that the flyer position should be based on which of your hands is closest to the orifice as you spin. If your left hand is the forward hand, choose the flyer on the left. If your forward hand is on the right, choose the flyer on the right.
This wheel includes:

- Four Regular bobbins in the same wood as the wheel. We are finding out if more bobbins can be ordered, and the price.
- Ratios are 8:1, 12:1, 15:1, 18:1
There is NO JUMBO PLYING OPTION for the Lendrum Saxony. Either ply back onto the Regular-sized bobbins that come with the wheel, or use another spinning wheel with a jumbo setup for your plying..
