A super-fast flyer head for spinning short fibres in particular, things like cotton, yak, camel and other things where high speed is essential. Includes the spinning head, flyer, threading hook and high-speed bobbin. The high-speed bobbins fit both this flyer and the regular Fast Flyer.
Ratios possible are 26:1, 30:1, 36:1, 44:1

Lincoln (Top)
Classification: LONGWOOL
Combed top, very clean. This breed features smooth and long, lustrous fibre, our supply being an ivory-cream shade. Though often used to add strength in blends, Lincoln makes exceptionally beautiful lace-weight yarns that highlight the intricate stitchwork. Thicker spins are generally used for rugged outerwear.
Micron count for Lincoln is in the 34 to 41 range, with a staple length from 8 to 12 inches or more. Felting properties are very good.
Logwood, Chips
Dried and cured chips from a tropical tree, Haematoxylum campechianum.
Use on protein or cellulose fibres. Pre-mordanting essential. Produces dramatic pink, blue, maroon and purple to black shades. Use at 20-50% WOF for medium shades.
TO USE: place chips in a stocking and soak overnight in cold water. Bring to a simmer for 1 hour, cool and remove stocking. Enter premordanted fibre and simmer for 1 hour. Bath may be used for successive dips, and by the 3rd or 4th dip the colours being yielded change to golds, greens or browns.
Light and washfastness: average. Keep dyed fibres away from bright light.
NEW: Logwood Extract: this has already been soaked out then reduced down to a powder. It's expensive but very strong and super convenient. Simply weigh out the extract at around 10% weight of fibre for medium shades, or adjust for darker or lighter. Dissolve in a measuring cup with hot (but not boiling) water, add to your dyepot with water, mix well, add your fibre and simmer for an hour.

Louet Bulky Bobbin – Irish Tension

The bulky bobbin was designed to hold bulky yarns. If your intentions are to spin novelty yarns on a regular basis, this is the bobbin for you. The bobbin will hold 250-400 gr of yarn and its ratios are 6.2:1, 5:1, and 4.2:1. To use the bulky bobbin, you will need the wide flyer as well. The Bulky bobbin is clear lacquered and will fit on all current and discontinued Louet Irish Tension wheels EXCEPT: S40, S45, Victoria, S87, S90.

Louet High Speed Bobbin – Irish Tension

This high speed bobbin is clear lacquered to match the finish of the S10, S10DT and S51, S51DT. This bobbin has been carefully crafted to make spinning at high speeds a breeze. The bobbin has a sheave with three settings on one end to obtain three different spinning speeds. The ratios are: 6.5:1, 9.5:1 and 15:1. The high speed bobbin is meant to be used with the Louet High-Speed Flyer, and will fit on all current and discontinued Louet Irish Tension wheels EXCEPT: S40, S45, Victoria, S87, S90.
