The Stylus bobbins can be purchased individually to go with your Majacraft Stylus Kit. While smaller and shorter than any of their other bobbins, these will hold a huge amount of yarn compared to traditional quill type spinning.

Majacraft wooden bobbins offer stylish design and innovative technology for the discerning fibre artist. The Bamboo bobbin ends and fibreglass core make for a very distincive bobbin. They have pressed polymer bearings that provide extremely smooth spinning and excellent durability. Each is individually hand turned by their skilled wood turners and will beautifully compliment your Majacraft spinning wheel.

This wheel is a collaboration between Majacraft and the very accomplished spinner Pluckyfluff. Designed from the ground up, the Aura has new style and presence while still retaining the classic Majacraft look. It has two independent drive bands, one for the flyer and a second for the bobbin. The flyer drive has three different ratios and the bobbin drive has two ratios plus infinite adjustment. Being so unique, the Aura requires new thinking about spinning and expressing your creativity. The potential is huge and when you are ready to explore everything that can be achieved in spinning then come and spend time with an Aura. The flyer is all new and builds on the advances Majacraft has made in the past. It shares the aerodynamic shape of our other flyers for efficient and easy spinning. Most importantly it has a new dual function orifice. Fine yarns can be held still in the delta part of the orifice. This also has the function of holding coil yarns very still so you can observe your work. You can bypass the delta and use the large halo ring for spinning huge. With the new double drive, the Aura can spin anything that can be pulled through this orifice! The new folding handle design has the grip in a new location and special bumpers on the handle to keep the spinning head away from the pedals when you fold it down. As with all other Majacraft wheels, they have worked to make it as compatible as possible with all accessories. The Aura will fit all existing Majacraft flyers. Hackles
Hackle, Majacraft – 2 row 320mm
FREE GROUND SHIPPING within Canada. Canadian orders only. Double pitch hackle from Majacraft, 320 mm (12.6") comb width. The combs have stainless steel pins with polished points that are blunt enough to be much more pleasant to use and sharp enough to do the job well. Fibres are lashed on to the teeth and then pulled through a diz to prepare them into top for spinning. They can be used in much the same way as wool combs, for either preparing a single type of fibre, blending colours or blending a mixture of fibres. Instead of drilling the hackle base, Majacraft has developed a new technique of bonding the pins in with a very tough resin. The pins are positioned perfectly straight and perfectly even on every hackle. This is the double row version, and we can order in the single row as well, just inquire for current pricing and availability. It includes a wooden pin cover to protect you and the hackle when it is not in use. Also included are special Majacraft clamps. The clamp block is drilled at an angle and has a solid rubber top to ensure that the hackle is held firmly on your table and the rubber will prevent damage to the table. The clamps allow you to secure the hackle to a sturdy surface and carry out colour blending in conjunction with a diz. The hackle is also stepped at the end to provide an area to use an 'F' clamp if you prefer this to the included clamps. The hackle dimensions are: length, 470mm (18.5 inches) width, 45mm (1.8 inches) height, 35mm (1.4 inches) comb width, 320mm (12.6 inches) The double row hackle is great for finer fibres. The pins are at different heights so initial combing can be done on the higher pins before carrying out fine combing with both rows of pins. As is often the case, the time spent in preparation is taken from the time spent in spinning later.

Feb/2012 - Majacraft has just announced they are making the new Aura wheel flyer available. This strange-looking beast will fit all the wheel models, and uses the wooden jumbo bobbins that most of us have with the plying kit. It does NOT matter if your jumbo bobbins are the new ones with the two holes. That's important for the Aura wheel but the flyer works perfectly fine with the older version of jumbo bobbins.

If you splurge and get this flyer, you're going to need a couple of jumbo bobbins if you plan to ply.

NOTE: LITTLE GEM WHEELS require the special Little Gem Mini Tension Knob with any of Majacraft's wide flyers, including the Aura, Plying or Wild flyers. That's because the standard tension knob sticks out too far and gets in the way of the wider flyer arms. It's listed here below the various flyers and flyer kits. We usually keep it in stock.

Canadian shipping only. Majacraft's new wooden Jumbo Bobbin is made using laser-cut bamboo ply with 3d printed rings and fibreglass tubes. The new design minimizes the sound made by the tension string in the bobbin groove and allows you to see your yarn as you spin, through the cutout ends. Also available in a plastic version. Launched in late 2020. The Jumbo or Plying bobbin has a large capacity and can be used in conjunction with a Plying Flyer, Wild Flyer or Aura Flyer -- they don't fit on the regular standard flyer. They will contain up to two standard bobbins of yarn when plying or will allow you to spin longer yarns when using it to make art yarns. All the new Majacraft bobbins will now work on the Aura wheel.
