This is a dandy kit that lets you convert your single-treadle Elizabeth spinning wheel into a double treadle.
Two treadles leads to easier treadling, better posture and more even spinning. Includes a new crank, conrods and treadle board. Lacquered finish. Not difficult to install either.
NOTE: the wood and finish will not likely match exactly to your existing wheel.

Ashford E-spinner Foot Controller

On/Off foot control for Ashford Electronic Spinners. This controls the power but does not adjust the speed. Does not fit the original E-spinner 1 and only fits E-spinner 2 models with the plugin thingy on the wheel. See below. PLEASE NOTE the new E-spinner 3 INCLUDES this foot controller already.
The e-Spinner foot control allows you to start and stop spinning without using your hands. Simply tap to turn on your e-Spinner and tap to turn off.
NOTE: For all e-Spinners manufactured after January 2016 that include the foot switch plug option on the power panel. Older e-Spinners do not have this feature.

This beautifully crafted wheel now has a large 61cm (24") wheel with 12 spokes mounted on ball bearings for smooth effortless spinning. Horizontal adjustment of the maiden bar allows perfect alignment with the 3 speed whorl. The maiden bar clamps to the base to eliminate vibration. This Double drive wheel produces a fine, firm-twist yarn particularly suited for fine wools and exotic fibres. One adjustment controls both drive band and bobbin take-up. Ashford Flexible Conrod Joint
Replacement connecting joint between the conrod and treadle rail used on Ashford wheels made since the mid 1980s. Clear polycord. Over time these turn sort of yellow and get brittle. One of the most common replacement parts we sell.
This may or may not fit other brands of wheels, it might be the wrong diameter or be too long, which you can change by cutting some off with a very sharp knife. Approximately 7cm long.
