For adjusting the brake band tension on Scotch tension spinning wheels. These mysteriously vanish more often than you would think! This is the knob we sell the most of, for most modern Ashford wheels. Note: for Traditional Wheels made before 1975 you might need the Old-Style Tension Knob.

For the SINGLE-DRIVE Traditional or Traveller wheels. Kit includes 1 jumbo bobbin, stainless steel yarn guides, graphite/fibreglass arms, a 4-speed pulley. Natural finish wood.
Fill your bobbins evenly with the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hook. Fibreglass arms make these flyers light and strong. The yarn is controlled in the hook as you spin.
Ratios: Traditional: 4.5,7.5, 9.5, 12.5:1. Traveller: 3.5, 6, 7.5, 10:1.
15mm (5/8") orifice. Kit also includes 10mm (1/2") orifice reducer bush and 10mm (1/2") flyer bearing reducer bush (so you can use your standard flyer without changing bearings).

Ashford Flexible Conrod Joint
Replacement connecting joint between the conrod and treadle rail used on Ashford wheels made since the mid 1980s. Clear polycord. Over time these turn sort of yellow and get brittle. One of the most common replacement parts we sell.
This may or may not fit other brands of wheels, it might be the wrong diameter or be too long, which you can change by cutting some off with a very sharp knife. Approximately 7cm long.
