75% Blue-faced Leicester wool / 25% Tussah silk
Very clean combed top. Staple length around 6 to 7 inches. A super-soft blend in a luminous, pearly-looking ivory white. The sort of fibre you want to fall asleep on, it’s so soft. Absolutely perfect for against-the-skin garments. Or perhaps a lace shawl since this ought to make fantastic lace yarn. From Ashland Bay, this replaces our previous 80/20 blend.

Polwarth 85/Tussah Silk 15
85% Polwarth wool / 15% Tussah Silk Very clean combed top. A lovely soft blend from Ashland Bay that is just as beautiful in its natural ivory tone as it would be dyed. Polwarth is every bit as soft as Merino and much less commonly used in blends such as this one. NOTE: slightly more on the ivory/cream side than the photo shows.

Corriedale Aubergine
Ashford calls this Aubergine (French for Eggplant) but we find it's much more of a beet purply-red or burgundy-wine tone. Anyhow, it's great and a nice tone to add to the lineup. Dyed 30 micron Corriedale wool top from Ashford of New Zealand.
Yak, Brown 50/Cultivated Silk 50
50% Yak / 50% Cultivated Silk
Absolute luxury best describes this exotic blend from Ashland Bay. The combination of the two fibres somehow gives an almost metallic appearance, better than either alone! This would overdye like a dream, if you dare. The colour is sort of silvery brown but streaky at the same time. We think this wants to be spun lace weight but no doubt it would make superb bulkier yarns as well. Clean combed top, and easy to spin.
