Various flyers and kits are available for Ashford wheels. These are for the DOUBLE DRIVE Traditional, Traveller and Elizabeth wheels.
PLEASE NOTE: Double DRIVE is not the same as Double TREADLE. If you are not sure if your wheel is a double or single drive, first compare your bobbins to those listed on our cart under Ashford bobbins, as the shape differs for each type. ALL Elizabeth wheels are double drive.

Ashford DD Sliding Hook Flyer & Bobbin – Traditional/Traveller/Elizabeth

For the DOUBLE-DRIVE Traditional, Traveller and Elizabeth wheels. Kit includes 1 Double Drive 90mm Sliding Hook Flyer bobbin, sliding stainless steel yarn guides, graphite/fibreglass arms, a 3-speed pulley. Natural/unfinished wood. Has a 10mm (1/2-inch) orifice.
Fill your bobbins evenly with the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hook. Fibreglass arms make these flyers light and strong. The yarn is controlled in the hook as you spin. The bobbins on this flyer are larger than the type on the standard hook-type flyer, and will hold more singles.
Ratios: Traditional: 7.5, 9.5, 13
Traveller: 6, 8, 10.5
Elizabeth: 8, 10.5, 14

For the DOUBLE-DRIVE Traditional, Traveller and Elizabeth wheels. Kit includes 1 jumbo bobbin, sliding stainless steel yarn guides, graphite/fibreglass arms, a 3-speed pulley. Natural/unfinished wood. Has a 15mm (5/8-inch) orifice and a 10mm (1/2-inch) reducer bush for spinning singles.
